First thoughts on Inscryption (and DW)

here_be_becHad a few days to figure out how this place works, and it seems to be going well. Found a few neat-looking communities. I was told that formatting posts and finding people on this site might be interesting, but it appears to line up with how I remember navigating the RP forums I took part in years ago.
I intend to use this journal to mostly keep track of any new games I play and enjoy (I like to ramble about them and this seems to be the perfect place to do so), and perhaps shout into the void about fic writing. When I'm playing games, however, I tend to be less interested in writing, and vice versa, so I'll probably only be posting about one thing at a time.
Inscryption ramblings pt.1 --
Played through a chunk of this game, and I've been really enjoying it. Just reached the part where you unlock the ability to start a new game and the style of it almost completely changes - very reminiscent of 'the Messenger', another game that I'd recommend, though not one that's necessarily similar to Inscryption in any way other than this.
I loved the look and the soundtrack for the game throughout the first half of the game, very creepy and unique, and I'm enjoying the twist on the gameplay for the second half. It's similar enough to the first that picking it up is easy, but not so similar that it's boring. Figuring out the new rules has been fun, and I like the idea of having different scribes with a focus on different types of cards. Looks very promising.
